She was a woman from my neighborhood, who I remember only for  good qualities, she was a working woman, a good person, a single mother. Her husband died when she was about 30, personaly I don’t know for that, but every older men talk about it, although there are only a few older people who knew her well.

She was raising her son alone, I remember him well, although I was a kid when he was kidnapped, I remember him and his Renault R4, which was not working, although he was repairing it every day. He had a son, who died when he was 14 because he was suffered from leukemia. He was never able to stop at his only son. A few weeks after the death of his son, he went to the bank and raised all the money he had, just to make his son built the monument in the graveyard. He gave a large monument in memory of his son, the monument was in the form of book, because his son was an excellent student. Even this did not help to stop at the son, and every day he went on foot to the graveyard which is situated about 5 kilometers from his house where he lived with his mother. He was going to graveyard every day, it was not important if it was raining or snowing, he was going to visit his son’s grave.

One day, he didn’t back. Nobody didn’t know where is he, after few days, he wasn’t coming back to home, everybody was looking for him, but couldn’t find him. He was kidnapped by the KLA. Although everyone knew that the KLA kidnapped a large number of Serbs and sold their internal organs, no one doubted it. His mother was the third time shaken and disappointed in life, but did not surrend , every day she expected her son to return, alive and well. She was not that lucky, about 2002, she was called by the Serbian Goverment, to identificate somebody, she didn’t suspect that she was called to identificate her son, but she was. Her son was unearthed in a mass grave in Kosovo, after identification, there was no doubt. What is worse, he was excavated without internal organs, his organs were sold!

This woman is lost for the third time men’s hands in the house, and when she was 70, she had to live alone, without anyone. She did not receive a pension, herself she was fighting for her life until the last day. She rove the timbers alone, she was planting various vegetables and flowers in the garden, which she then sold to earn for life. Her life was hard. Two weeks ago, she ended her eternal struggle, and start her life on the sky, with her husband, son and grandson.

Her lineage is extinguished. And, now, after all fights, remains the only eternal memories and positive inscribed space in the book of time. Just a memory.
