Kosovo Police beat Serbs who are protesting, March 2009

Seventeen Serbs injured, three arrested
Gnjilane – In a conflict between the Kosovo police service (KPS) and the villagers of the Serbian village of Silovo who are protesting over no electricity supply to their households for seven days already, yesterday at about noon 17 local people were injured and three arrested. Even 300 members of the KFOR in full gear and combat vehicles came half an hour later in order to separate the villagers from the KPS members.
